The beta network ran 17 AI-powered papers across 16 US markets for two months. The A/B test is complete, the platform is finalized, and the network launches September 1.
From mid-April to mid-June 2026, NewsroomAIOS ran 17 local newspapers across 16 US markets as a live beta — a load test of the stack and of the AI pipeline feeding every paper, publishing daily, operated by one person. The point was simple: prove we could support them, upgrade them, and keep the code solid while each partner ran their own paper. The beta is done. The finalized network launches September 1, 2026. We haven’t found anyone who can duplicate this yet — anyone who tries is starting years behind.
Seventeen papers was not a demo. Every one ran the full pipeline daily — generation across multiple models, voice packs per publication, second-pass linting, and a human editor accountable for every word that published. The load test was the point: the stack, and the AI pipe feeding every paper, under real conditions, for two months.
What we were proving was not reach. It was operability. Could we support seventeen at once. Could we upgrade them without breaking them. Could we keep the code solid while each partner maintained their own paper with the tools we handed them. That is what the beta answered, and the answers are the finalized network launching September 1.
The full numbers will come out as white papers. For now the short version stands: one operator, seventeen papers, sixteen markets, two months.
